Artist: Jamison Harper


backgound: In the second grade, Jamison was impaled by a pencil on his right hand.  His hand turned hard and gray and he was forced to strike a bargain with the embedded graphite point to take up drawing in order to restore his hand to its normal state.  Jamison has tried to live up to his end of the bargain with a life of doodling and sketching in gratitude for the graphite point restoring his hand.  Only now has Jamison started a quiet rebellion against the graphite, turning away from regular pencils to use other mediums.  We are not sure what the consequences will be…
