About The Collective

Founded in May 2007, The Birmingham Art Collective works to help artists, designers, photographers, writers, musicians, actors, and other creatives in Birmingham promote themselves and their work.  When The Collective puts on a show, the barrier to entry is low and the culture is pro-creative, allowing the artist to take chances and risk more.  The Collective encourages art installations and unconventional mediums.  It’s goal is to give new artists an opportunity to develop their work and to give seasoned artists a chance to reach new audiences.

  2. Hello.

I am very interested in learning more about the art collective.
I just moved back to Birmingham and I am very interested in becoming a member as well as help out with and any type of planning, writing, grant support or other duties related to furthering the success of the collective. I would really love to meet with someone concerning involvement and other ideas or interest to share.

I did not find a contact email or number, so I am submitting this as a comment.
Again I really look forward to hearing back from you.

I am interested to know more about the Art Collective and the type of resources you offer. I could not find an email to reach anyone so I’m placing my inquire here. I am a professional fine artist-painter just recently moved back home to Birmingham. I was very active in the arts prior to moving several years ago from Birmingham and currently interested to re-connect with new faces and new opportunities.

I look forward to a response,
    Barry

Does anyone know of some low cost or no cost studio space here in Birmingham? I live in an apartment. Having somewhere to paint would be awesome, since an apartment is not real conducive to oils…
